Telehealth 2.0 and Osteopathic Medicine

In today’s highly connected environment, electronic tools and social media provide clinicians with the ability to understand patients and their social interactions far more completely than in previous generations. This interconnectedness has given rise to a new means of expanding the patient-physician relationship, commonly called telehealth (also known as telemedicine and e-health). The authors of this Editorial discuss how implementation of this technology has the potential to revolutionize the health care delivery system in a manner similar to technology’s impact on the retail and manufacturing industries.
